“The COVID-19 pandemic is creating a challenging environment for many students who are struggling to find employment and we’re pleased that we can do our part to help,” said Michael Campbell, the IMCO’s chief client officer, in a statement. “We value the opportunity to collaborate with the C.D. Howe Institute on this initiative because solid research and quality policy analysis has never been more critical for institutions and businesses alike in Canada.”

The internship is for recent graduates from policy and economic programs, who will work on policy research projects and be mentored by the institute’s research team.

“We’re very glad for the opportunity that IMCO has given us to provide first-hand experience for Canada’s next generation of policy-makers, especially in the current climate of uncertainty when many graduates are losing out on the kind of work and internship opportunities that will be invaluable to shaping their future careers,” said Daniel Schwanen, vice-president of research at the C.D. Howe Institute.
