Thursday,
April 6th, 10 am - 2 pm:
An Insider's View of Whistler:
Painting Workshop with local artist Isabel Maclaren & Resort
History Tour:
Enjoy an engaging and creative 2 hour workshop that will reveal the
creative fundamentals everyone processes. A painting session
under the guidance of Isabel Maclaren that is complemented
with humor, practical advice, entertainment and will leave
you with a thorough discovery of the innovation process of
painting. Isabel will also host lunch in her home.
Not just your average tour, Thursday's spousal program also includes
a view of Whistler with the eldest resident of the town, Florence
Peterson. Learn about the development of Whistler Township,
ski resort, the spectacular Coastal Mountain Range and Whistler
Village as a host venue for the 2010 Olympics. The tour will
also include a drive by some of Whistler's most exclusive
million-dollar homes.
Please note we will divide the group in two, one starting with the art
class and one the tour of town.
Meet in the Lobby for a 10 a.m. bus departure.
Friday, April 7th, 10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.: Snowshoe Adventure
A fabulous winter wilderness experience, guests will experience the
solitude of a snowshoe walk on freshly fallen snow on forest
trails. Our guide will give an orientation to those new to
snowshoeing. A picnic lunch is included.
Meet in the Lobby for 10:30 a.m. bus departure.
Note:
a. This activity is weather dependent. (subject to snow levels and conditions;
hike will substitute)
b. All guests are required to sign a liability waiver prior to tour.
c. Guests should wear their own ski suits, gloves and snow boots.
d. Backcountry sports activities are not recommended for individuals
who are pregnant, suffer from back or neck pain, heart or
respiratory distress. If in doubt, guests should consult a
physician prior to participation.
Also included in the Spousal Program:
- Opening Reception and Buffet Dinner for delegates and spouses.
- Breakfasts at leisure on Thursday and Friday.
- Thursday Gala Dinner for delegates and spouses (business attire recommended).
- Closing Reception
- Ski Day on Saturday, April 9th.
