BGI in Canada: More than an index giant
In Canada, we have offices in Toronto and Montreal. Investors here often consider us one of the industry's indexing giants, a compliment we're glad to accept. But we offer much more for institutional investors. We also manage asset allocation and risk-controlled active strategies; for individual investors, we manage iUnits, a family of exchange traded funds that trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Barclays Global Investors Canada (BGI Canada), an indirect subsidiary of Barclays PLC, and part of Barclays Global Investors, is the second largest manager of pension assets in Canada, (Benefits Canada; November 2004.) BGI Canada services individual and institutional investors, with assets of approximately CAN$51 billion (December 2004).
