Global Link's clients include:

  • 425 of the world's largest buy-side firms in 23 countries, who collectively manage over half the world's professionally, managed assets.
  • Most of the world's major central banks and official institutions, who regard our research as the essential source of fact, rather than opinion, about asset movements and investor behavior.
  • Over 40 bank liquidity providers in over 100 locations, 26 brokers on our equity platforms, and 23 fund providers.

    Global Investment Research
SSGM produces multi-asset class research on the investment holdings, flows and borrowings of institutional investors around the world. Using information aggregated from the more than $12.2 trillion for which State Street provides investment services, this research reveals what global investors are doing and why, together with the impact of these activities on currency and equity pricing around the world.

Traditional research, based upon fundamental data sets such as economic indicators and universally distributed company information, often fails to prevent the wide deviation of securities prices from fundamental value. State Street Global Markets, using information, intellectual resources and methodologies unavailable elsewhere in the industry, produces quantifiable, fact-based research that explores these deviations - particularly the impact of persistent investment flows on portfolio returns.

Spearheading this effort is State Street Associates LLC (SSA) – a unique partnership of industry and academia dedicated to creating preeminent research in global asset allocation, equity investment and currency management. SSA serves as a research and development laboratory for analytical tools and proprietary indicators used by SSGM analysts who combine them with valuation and business cycle analysis to create portfolio strategies over multiple time and risk horizons. SSA includes partners from State Street Global Markets, Windham Capital Management Boston, FDO Partners, the Harvard Business School and Northeastern University. SSA's products and services are available as analytical tools on Global Link.
