Day 1: Thursday, April 15

Whistler Village Art and Walking Tour

 

Explore Whistler with knowledgeable and friendly guides who will offer history and information on the village. Learn about the development of Whistler Township, ski resort, the spectacular coastal mountain range and Whistler Village as the host for the 2010 Olympics. The tour will focus on Whistler’s local art galleries.

 

Minute by Minute

 

10:50                           Meet at the registration desk to depart.

 

11:00                           Depart Chateau Whistler, walk to Whistler Village.

 

11:20                           Arrive at “The Plaza Gallery” located in Village Market Place.

 

11:50                           Depart the Plaza; walk 10 minutes to Village Square.

 

12:00                           Arrive at the Delta Whistler Resort Hotel, gallery shopping level.

                       

12:10                           Tour three galleries: Adel Campbell, Whistler Village Art, and Black Tusk. This is your opportunity to mingle between the 3 galleries with your tour guides. Also, enjoy a glass of wine.

 

1:10                             Ride the Whistler Mountain gondola to the top of Whistler Mountain.

 

1:30 – 3:30                  Lunch at Steeps on Whistler Mountain.

 

4:15                             Arrive back at Fairmont Chateau Whistler.

 

 

 

 

Day 2: Friday, April 16

Great Canadian Photo Hike

 

This is an engaging and creative 3 hour motor coach and light hiking tour of Whistler Resort with an educational component and “tips” for shooting that even-better picture. You will be guided by a professional photographer while enjoying scenic areas of the resort, stopping often to take photos, and discuss different techniques to shoot better portraits and scenic images.

9:50                             Meet at registration desk to depart.

 

10:00                           Depart Chateau Whistler by coach.

 

10:15                           Arrive at first stop:  Lost Lake.

 

10:45                           Depart Lost Lake by coach.

 

11:05                           Arrive second stop:  Rainbow Park.

 

11:35                           Depart Rainbow Park by coach.

 

12:00                           Arrive at third stop:  Brandywine Falls.

 

12:45                           Depart Brandywine Falls by coach.

 

1:05 – 2:45                  Trattoria Di Umberto restaurant for lunch.

 

3:00                             Arrive back at Chateau Whistler.

 

§         Please dress appropriately: A raincoat and hiking boots are strongly recommended.

 

§         Feel free to bring your cameras-- disposable cameras will also be provided onsite.

 

NOTE: This activity is weather permitting. In the event of heavy rain a yoga, health, and wellness seminar will be held in the hotel, followed by lunch at Trattoria Di Umberto..
