New York Life Investment Management, LLC (NYLIM) was established in 2000 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of New York Life Insurance Company. NYLIM has $205 billion assets under management and offers investment strategies across the investment spectrum including equity, fixed income, private equity, and real estate. The NYLIM Equity Investors Group was formed in September 2004, and consists of NYLIM’s quantitative-oriented equity investment teams. As of June 30, 2005, NYLIM Equity Investors had $11.5 billion under management and over 15 investment professionals aligned in portfolio teams grouped by style – core, growth, and value – in various capitalizations. In keeping with the high growth potential of the platform, the style grouping allows for the flexibility to add new teams and for each team to offer its strategies in different capitalization segments in order to round out NYLIM’s equity offering to the institutional marketplace. The New York Life Capital Partners (NYLCAP) is a premier manager of alternative assets for New York Life Insurance (NYL) and third-party investors. It currently has $4.0 billion under management as of March 31, 2005 and has historically achieved top quartile returns across all three business lines: equity co-investments, mezzanine investments, and fund investments.
