Julie Koeninger, director of business development at Hancock Natural Resource Group Inc.
Julie Koeninger is responsible for institutional business development activities in North America and Europe in both agriculture and timber. In addition, she is directly involved in supporting new product and channel development initiatives at HNRG. In this role she is responsible for collaborating and partnering with the global team of sales professionals at John Hancock and Manulife to proactively develop new business opportunities targeting multiple channels and geographies. Prior to joining HNRG, Koeninger was director of agriculture at Conservation Resource Partners. Before joining Conservation Resource Partners in 2017, Koeninger was the product strategist for timber and agriculture at Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo, LLC where she was involved in the development of both timber and agriculture strategies as well as client relationship management and business development with the firm’s Renewable Resources Group. Koeninger previously served as an independent consultant in the agricultural investment space and was also a portfolio manager with Hancock Agricultural Investment Group, where she served in a number of roles from 1989-2005. Julie holds BA in English from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. She is a CFA Charterholder.
Jeff McAllister, vice-president of corporate development at Bonnefield Financial Inc.
Jeff McAllister is the vice-president, corporate development for Bonnefield, where he is responsible for new product development as well as other strategic corporate initiatives. McAllister has held a number of roles at Bonnefield including most recently, heading up the asset management group. Previously, McAllister worked in the Banking and Capital Markets group of Ernst & Young’s audit practice, where he obtained his CPA, CA and CFA designations. There, he provided audit and advisory work to complex financial institutions including banks, funds and private equity clients.
Bernice Miedzinski, president of StarBridge Capital Ltd.
Bernice Miedzinski is a veteran investment professional with over 30 years of capital markets experience. Since 2003 Bernice has focused exclusively on the alternative asset universe, working with both global asset managers and Canadian institutional investors across a range of strategies including hedge funds, private equity, private debt, real estate and natural resources. For the past five to six years, Bernice has focused extensively on investments across the agriculture value chain globally, from real assets (e.g., farmland, water rights and agri-infrastructure), to vertically-integrated agri-food assets to growth equity agri-tech opportunities.
