Growth in infrastructure investment builds foundation for future
Accessibility
and overcoming barriers were two major themes during this year’s
Infrastructure Investment Summit, which took place from May 23 to
27 at the Fairmont Mont Tremblant Resort in Quebec. As infrastructure
assets gain profile among pension funds, many of the big deals are
still out of reach due to high costs and a lack of opportunities
for diversification. However, new ways to access the market could
be on the way, from listed infrastructure investments to securitization.
This year’s Summit brought together a group of leading practitioners,
academics and senior pension fund investment officers to share their
views on these and other topics in the growing area of infrastructure
investment.
